After only starting Kokiri a month ago it seems that we seem to be releasing alot of music at a very quick rate, Obviously there isn’t anything wrong with this at all but all of our stuff was just all originals so we wanted to see how we would tackle a remix and this is what we’ve come up with.

So after what seems like absolutely forever, i finally started a brand new set of step by step tutorials once again making my youtube active and putting it to it’s respected use! In these videos i will be teaching you how to create Melbourne bounce which is a huge popular genre in (you guessed correctly!) Melbourne Australia. I love the genre due to the bounciness of it and its just such good music to play out and dance too and the crowd always love it!

Now some of you who follow my music will of noticed this name popping up over the past month so i thought i’d take a little bit of time to explain what it is. Kokiri is the name of the brand new collaboration between me & Adam French, the strange thing is i actually started this project well over a year ago but due to working on alot of music i just never got around to getting everything in place. I had already decided on the name, had the logo designed and i knew exactly how i wanted the name to be seen, i wanted it to be seen as a ‘brand’ rather than just another DJ/Artist. So i began working on some stuff for the project (bear in mind, Adam only came into the picture of Kokiri about 2 months ago). So i had everything i wanted in place and i had began working on some music but with keeping up with VBR releases and my own music under ‘Kev Willow’ i just didn’t get around to getting anything out there and released and so it all the ideas just stayed on my desktop for a good 5/6 months.

“As we move into the first month of the New Year the artists of VBR have been hard at work preparing an array of releases,”Yeah” is the first of the bundle by label owner Kev Willow. A happy uplifting breakdown followed by a destructive drop, this one has anthem written all over it. Kev has recently branched out from his recognisable sound of Dubstep to work more on his house music and we’re pretty pleased about it. With ‘Yeah’ being Kev’s footprint into the house music scene we look forward to seeing what other anthems he can come up with.”

So it is that time again, where i root through my music and find some hidden gems to share with you guys for free and i must say i’m particularly happy with this release. This year I’ve treated you to 2 very bouncy styled house tracks entitled “The Signs” and “Ladies & Gentlemen” so go get yourself a nice big glass, crack open a bottle of baileys, fill the glass with ice, turn your speakers to around 11 and enjoy!

So a few months ago after hearing Animals i was gobsmacked by the drop, I just couldn’t get over how the drop consisted of a big bassy kick and a little percussive hit. So i wanted to try this sound. I started a track and made a drop (in a similar style to animals). Lets be honest, it was terrible, i know i got a few youtube comments saying it was good, but please, you don’t have to be nice, it was terrible haha!
